Opus N°23 Eva Venere or Feminity

This is the first of Ghiorgo Zafiropulo`s later works when he picked up his chisels after more than fifteen years interruption and continued working from 1986 to 1990.

The artist categorized her as a religious subject or biblical Eve, the first woman, "The" reference to femininity.

He has lost none of his skill and accuracy and the work is imbued with classicism and elegance. She is timeless, arms raised, hair falling in a graceful and particularly feminine movement, highlighting the form of her breasts and her waist and generous hips. The look is soft and smooth as skin, the patina dark green or dark brown.
